Well, day 1 of the 7 day Keifer Master Cleanse Challenge has been completed, and I quit!
What in the world was someone thinking when they decided not to have coffee or real food for any length of time?!
My decision to stop was based soley on my pounding headache from no coffee and my growling, empty stomach (and my doctor friend saying it was the most unsafe detox he’s ever heard of). My hat goes off to those able to complete a 7 or 10 day cycle and congrats! Instead, I will go back to portion control and strict eating before I try another detox!
Ok, its about to begin. The 7 day Keifer Master Cleanse Challenge!
I purchased enough lemon juice and maple syrup today for at least 4 days and anticipate buying more on day 3. Mixed my first day’s 10 bottles (and snuck a taster) as well as preped the dried fruit, cheese, and eggs to be boiled (later this evening). Tomorrow morning, when I walk out my front door, Master Cleanse week will commence. Also, I decided earlier that since this is not a diet, I will not be officially tracking my weight. Thoughts?

I recently finished William Young’s The Shack and decided to share a few of my thoughts about it. This is not an exhaustive review, but more of a quick chat and a platform to launch my “Shack Experiment.”
This title, although not meant to be some deep theological discussion, really caused me to question my views on God and how I’m to think of Him and interact with Him. This is not some replacement for bible reading or church, but it challenges you to consider why you think what you do about God through an easy to connect with, fictional story.
