Oh, the joy of tomatoes.
I’ve noticed a lot of changes in my tastes and likes lately; really, my preferences overall. Things that I never found good are all the sudden delicious and vice versa. I know we all have this (so don’t be scrunching up your face like I’m some sort of weirdo), it has something to do with human nature I’m sure; our preferences and likes just evolve over time.
More recently, its been really simple things like t-shirts, iced water, flavored teas, a dirty car, and tomatoes. I think back to my kido years and remember all the things I just couldn’t stand: green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, other assorted foods, the smell of rain, etc. More recently, almost everything I used to dislike I now like; well, at least foods and the rain thing. Most impressively, I’ve become very OCD about certain things.
So, before I ramble on some more, I need to clarify that I am not a weirdo. Certain things should always be done certain ways. There should be a sequence to everything, a pattern to follow. And, most importantly, these rules should always apply.
For example, when you get up in the morning, you should have a schedule you follow. This may change depending on the day, but there should be some sort of pattern or sequence. Alarm goes off, get up, make bed, wash face, brush teeth, make coffee, get dressed, etc. I’m under the impression that if there is no sequence then you may very well be a super-disorganized person.
This applys to several areas in my life. I have taken quite a bit of flak from a few friends because of it too. When I sit down at a restaurant, my first reaction is to adjust the silverware so that it is all straight and evenly spaced. Next, my glass/mug, plate, napkin, and anything else on the table must be proportionately spaced and not at askew angles. Also, when I sit down at a table with a checked or lined tablecloth, all items must line up/cross/intersect appropriately with the tablecloth. I know, a little odd. But, definitely not weird.
Ok, so maybe I am a little strange. But, we all are, right? (I say that to make myself feel a whole lot better!) Oh, back to the topic at hand: tomatoes. So, now that my tastes/likes have evolved to another stage, I now love tomatoes. On my salad, in my burger, or with salt. I’m ending this post kind of early because I feel like an idiot talking about my ‘tablecloth OCD’ thing. I’m sure I’ll have more to talk about soon. I do have quite a few OCDs.

i saw a movie about a guy like you once. except it was a girl who had like 12 personalities and one of them was an OCD man. freakishly similar. you should probably tone it down, psycho.
Really? Why don't we talk about some of your OCDs?
